Exploring areas is part of the fun of playing Minecraft. The Nether is not an exception. If anything, it is one of the areas you must explore. There you can find many kinds of blocks, items, and magical creatures. Not to mention certain items can only be created there. How to get to the Nether roof?
No worries. It isn’t hard to get to the roof. You just need some materials and items and follow the steps below.
Table of Contents
1. Collect Required Materials
To get to the Nether roof, you need to throw an Ender Pearl in between two bedrock blocks. An Ender Pearl is not the only material you need, though. You must have other materials so you can get out of the area.
Before we tell you how to reach the Nether roof, make sure you have the following materials
- Building blocks
- Ender Pearls
2. Find a Good Location
How to get to the Nether roof? Once you have all the required materials, it is time to get to the roof. To do so, you will need to use a portal. If you have one that you often use, take note of the coordinates of the portal.
Make sure you get the coordinates right. You will need them so you can make a portal at the same location on the Nether roof.
The goal here is to find a good location to get to the Nether roof. The location should be high enough so you can easily get to the bedrock ceiling, Use ladders and scaffolding to reach the ceiling in the Nether realm.
You need to be careful here as it is easy to fall off. We suggest creating a small room around the ceiling so you won’t fall off.
3. Locate the Bedrock Ceiling’s Thinnest Part
The next thing to do is to locate the ceiling’s thinnest area. The thinnest part is where there is only a single layer of block that separates the roof and the main realm. You can find it at height 127.
Note that the bedrock ceiling often has multiple layers. As such, you might need to search in a few places to find the thinnest part. When you find the thinnest area, place ladders to climb up to it.
4. Create a Portal to Leave the Roof
That’s how to get to the Nether roof. Before throwing an Ender Pearl, take flint, steel, and obsidian blocks to activate a new portal. The portal will enable you to return to the Overworld. Don’t forget to bring these materials. Without them, you might get stuck on the roof.
5. Throw an Ender Pearl between Two Bedrock Blocks
After you reach the highest level where there is a bedrock block, aim the crosshairs on the bedrock block’s edge. Prepare an Ender Pearl then throw it while you aim to teleport to the roof.
And that’s how to get to the Nether roof. It’s easy and fun. Note that you could get stuck on the roof if you forget to bring the required materials. So, make sure to do so. The materials are not difficult to get, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Have fun!
